Fading Echo has arrived on PlayStation 5, with a demo available alongside the full adventure.
Players take the role of One, a young Legend trying to save the fractured world of Corel. The threat is the mysterious Paradox, which is consuming that world. Fading Echo follows her through a single-player adventure.
Traversal changes when One becomes a blob: she can gather momentum and propel herself across the environment. Pipes provide routes to surf through, while narrow cracks offer spaces to squeeze into as she moves through the world.
Combat builds on the interaction between elements. Waves and charged blasts of Æther soak enemies and alter the battlefield, while lava, toxic waste and Paradox corruption react with Æther. Drenching a target is therefore only the start of those interactions.
Alternate realities also change how encounters unfold. One can move between versions of the same space, changing the hazards, resources and elements around her. Where players choose to fight can consequently affect how that encounter plays out.
