Shape of Dreams is now on PS5 with The Starless Path update, including cross-play with PC and other consoles.
Solo play is available throughout the game, alongside online parties of four. Players choose from nine Travelers before entering the Rapids, a dream setting that changes on each visit. Cooperative play combines individual builds without assigning everyone a fixed role.
Abilities are assembled from Memories, with Essences changing how those skills behave. Lizard Smoothie lists more than 200 Memories and Essences, including combinations that spread an attack between enemies or reduce its cooldown as hits land.
Cetus, a new ranged frost tank, uses ice to control the battlefield while shielding himself and allies. The Way of Stars also adds character stories, hidden episodes and illustrations, plus a new ending and a final boss described as the game's toughest.
Progress in each Traveler's Constellation carries over between runs, and The Starless Path introduces additional Stars to equip. Another progression change lets players replace their character's passive Identity Memory with one of six Universal Identity Memories, expanding the available choices beyond that Traveler's own.
