World of Warcraft: Forever outlines fresh race-class pairings, including faction-linked options for the debut Skyborne.
Across six races, the new pairings include Orc Mages, Troll Warlocks, Undead Paladins, Human Hunters, Gnome Priests and Dwarf Shamans. Together, these examples use six classes from the nine available.
Two faction-linked Skyborne options are set out: Horde-aligned Windshapers can become Shaman, while Alliance-aligned High-Order Skyborne can become Mages. Each option ties a class choice to a faction alignment.
For party roles, the nine classes offer different abilities across healing, damage and protection, with some allowing players to shift between roles. That flexibility carries tradeoffs. Individual class descriptions add detail: Druids are natural shapeshifters, while Magi attack from afar with frost and flame magic.
Character creation guidance is to consider both a preferred class and a race that can become it. These pairings shape the character's role and fantasy.
Some racial traits were adjusted to support the expanded class options, with the changes sharpening each race's identity. Each playable race has traits that add flavor and utility alongside a chosen class; the updates also preserve the race's spirit while helping those traits fit a new era of adventure.
