With a PS5 version announced, Luma Island will connect players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through cross-platform play, according to Feel Free Games.

Ahead of the PS5 release, Feel Free Games says players can wishlist the game on PlayStation Store. It reports more than 800,000 players since Luma Island's November 2024 PC launch.

For online groups, Feel Free Games describes support for up to 4 players who can build together, share resources and explore. Playing alone is also an option.

An old caravan and a rundown farm provide the starting point, Feel Free Games says. Players can cultivate crops, raise animals, build and decorate their farm, choose among eight professions and hatch magical companions called Lumas.

According to Feel Free Games, players can explore forests, mountains and jungles, as well as caves containing resources and ancient temples with puzzles and traps. Pirate Cove features explorable areas, pirate-themed minigames and challenges.

Choosing Cozy Mode makes combat optional, Feel Free Games explains, whereas Adventure and Hero are more challenging. Stamina bars and inventory limits are absent from the design the developer describes.
