For Nintendo Switch 2 owners, the role-playing game Dragon Quest XI S is now playable, according to Swipe Right.

At the centre of the story is the hunted Luminary, who is trying to uncover the mystery of his fate, Swipe Right says. His journey is perilous, and a cast of supporting characters helps him along the way.

Beyond the central journey, Swipe Right lists character side stories among the Definitive Edition's contents. Its announcement places the game within celebrations as the DRAGON QUEST franchise marks its 40th anniversary.

For presentation options, Swipe Right lists a retro 2D mode and describes Tickington as a 16-bit world. The edition includes a photo mode as well as a voiceover option that lets players switch between English and Japanese performances.

As for music, Swipe Right lists a fully orchestrated soundtrack as part of the edition. Players can switch to the original synthesised score instead of using the symphonic version.
